Default NEW to SMALL FORDS...HELP!??

I have a 1995 FAIRMONT in VGC but do NOT want such a large car (but as I was asleep during the 1980s/90s = I am totally unfamiliar with the "SMALL-FORD" models & ESPECIALLY those with the CURRENT Air Conditioning gas.

I MUST have FREEZING air-conditioning for my wife's health-issues & can anyone tell me WHICH small FORD model/year/type/name,etc, was fitted with the "NEW" Chillin' air-con-gas?

I don't have much $$$=($2000 at the most!), but can work on cars ..sorta!

IF anyone can help me about what cars & model-names would hhave this 'NEW' air con =say a LASER- 'KJ' ? What year is that model & the others & so on?

I doubt I could afford a FIESTA..can I? :

Any clues so I can get outa the FAIRMONT & into a 2-dooor hatch- type small-FORD would really be appreciated! :

Thanks, Marcel.
