Default APSA Pro Street Shootout - Sydney Dragway 24th November 2012

the APSA Pro Street shootout is back on again in Sydney, should be a huge event with many of the countries best Pro Street style drag cars. there is a class for pretty much any car. i would love to see some of the XR6T guys come out for a hit, seeing as alot of you guys run 275 radials, you can enter x275 (cars run high 8's to 11's) there is also DYO, the track prep at these shootouts is 1st class, expect to run a PB or break a gearbox

rules can be found on the APSA website, you can enter online very soon on the Sydney Dragway website!

One of my workmates raced at this event (the Sydney Scrap Steel Torana), and I tagged along as crew for the day to get some photos. A few are now posted on the Focused Solutions website, as Power Plus fuels are one of his sponsors.

But here's a few more:

when the car goes comes home uninjured and you get a PB the rest of the day doesn't matter, at least you didn't get a blowout and kiss the wall we are spewing we missed out on at least 4 passes, woulda been closer to sorting the car out at least. the track was prepped excellent.

Was my first attempt at photographing an event like this. Glad I got some good shots out of it.

I have 700+ pics from the day, I'll have a look when I get home.
I remember seeing it though!

I have had a look, and it appears I don't have any pics of your car. Sorry.
I got every other Mustang, red/orange, grey, blue...
I did arrive late and only got runs after 12.30pm.

The SSS boys are trying to talk me into going with them tomorrow to get some photos, so if anyone's out there, feel free to harrass the red head girl with the DSLR, and I'll see what I can do for you...

Not shooting commercially. Just as a hobby.

I drive buses with Craig, who races the Torana in the last shot.
He's been telling me for ages that I should head out there with them for the day, and they had a spare crew ticket for that particular event.
Thought it would be fun to try my hand at, as it's quite different to the type of photography I usually do.
