Anyone know about the 1.8 cossie in the rs200 or whatever else they came in. How much power from stock? modified? etc. what are they worth to buy

The RS200 engine (BDT) is actually a derivative of the BDA series that was fitted to RS1600 and RS1800 escorts. Talking mega dollars still for a half decent engine.
A YB series Cosworth which was fitted to RS Sierra's and RS Cosworth Escorts is much much cheaper to buy and maintain, but with massive potential for power still. |

RS200 were 250hp from stock 1.8 BDA.
The RS200 EVO had 2.1L BDT and 650hp at full boost and 0-60mph in just over 2 seconds :sm_drool:

On a recent edition of fifth gear (uk car program) they bought a lotus, kitted up with helmet and roll cage, try to do a 200mph run on an airfield and fail. Guy with a 600hp Cossie rocks up and does it first run without a helmet and one hand on the wheel.....Thats how far ahead of the game Cosworth are.
