I don't know if anyone knows this vehicle but here goes. It is a small pick-up, based on the old FWD escort shape that was sold in South Africa. My problem is this. The handbrake cable broke and I am trying to fit a new one. The handbrake system is one of the dashboard mounted ones below the steering column. I can't get the old end out of the lever and am half way to stripping the entire dashboard so if anybody knows what I am doing wrong PLEASE HELP! Thanks

Where are you located mate? Not many here would know of the Bantam to be honest.
Didn't think there were any in OZ, assuming you are here? The Proton Jumbuck is in the same class and I don't think it sold all that well.

I'm in South Africa. I have a feeling it was only made for the SA market. Thanks all the same.

If you can find a Mazda B series, it is much the same as your ute as the Ford Telstar is the same as the Mazda 626. Wreckers/parts places are your friend.
