Default Falcon badge

The falcon badge on the rear, what are these held on by? I want to remove the Gli section, so it just reads falcon. DOes the GLi bit have any holes under it? How have other people cut off the word? Post pics of ones that have been done pls.

All the badges I've come across are held on with double-sided tape.

EF / EL Falcons do have two holes in the panel beneath the Falcon GLi / Futura Badge
I am not certain but I think it is in line with the Falcon bit... perhaps sus it out at a wrecker or have a look at a new one at ford... The holes are for locating pins the badges themselves I believe are held on by the abovementioned double sided tape... There are however definately holes there....

Nope, the GLI section is only held on by double sided tape (Well my EF one was).

The GLI part has no holes under it and can be safely lifted and broken off (with care).

I'm confused.

So the Falcon badge has 2 holes beneath it?

Does the Ford badge have holes beneath it?

yes and yes. The holes are under the "FALCON" bit (so you can pull the GLI bit off and it will be fine, will be hard to though because the badge is made as one piece), and in the middle of the area behind the Blue Oval badge.

Also note that if you want to replace the Ford Badge as it is moulded into the rear body with a slight curve so it can not be replaced with a flat badge...........

I changed mine with a custom made Ford LED Badge so it lights up at night

On my EF Monty it was not held on with Screws as Such more like Plugs.

If you want to be safe than sorry remove the rear tail lights (2 screws and pop the sides out) and have a look on the other side where the badges are mounted

If you have a GLi or Futura you can snap that off, but Falcon and the blue badge have 2 legs each, so it'll cost a few bucks to get it debadged.
