I'm wanting to replace the speakers in my MC wagon. I've identified the size of the woofers and that the factory speakers are component.II've also watched a few videos that show how to remove and replace the woofers, but I can't find anything on how to replace the tweeters.
Can anyone explain how to do that or link to a video I've missed? |

The WSM in our tech portal shows where they are located with diagrams on their removal.

Hi there Soundwavepb - I very recently did an upgrade to my Mondy Titanium speaker system - fitted these: Focal IC FORD 165 6.5″ 2 Way Coaxial Kit.
Link here: https://lifestylestore.com.au/produc...y-coaxial-kit/ Left the factory tweeters in their spot and removed only the 6.5" speakers and fitted the ones shown in the link. The difference is night and day! I stuck on the sheet metal deadener material I picked up from Bunnings before fitting the new speakers. They are a direct plug and play so no cutting or soldering required and the factory tweeters continue to work however as an added bonus the 6.5" speakers come with tweeters to help fill the void. I did not reuse the factory screws as they are self taping and over tightening means they keep turning so I went for a better bolt and spring washer / nylon lock nut set up. Once again Bunnings. More sturdy and robust connection which means no tizzing sound from the speakers over time as the hardware can undo itself over time. I paid way less than what you find online for brand new ones. If you're Melbourne based I'll drop you the audio places info - good luck. |

Hi Murati,
Do you know if these speakers fit 2017 MD Titanium? I was thinking of an upgrade myself and was wondering if the MC and MD Mondeo's have a similar fitting space. Regards Greg |

According to the link below, they will fit the MD as well. There's also some sub options there. https://www.focal-inside.com/ford/en...v-2014-2019-2/ |

Hey Greg..."thebigd" is spot on...the Focal speakers shared in the link fit all MC and MD series Mondeo's and they make a huge difference. You will think you're driving a new car!

Thank you all for your replays. I am seriously tempted to purchase these speakers. I have see them on ebay from Germany around $300. The full set with amplifier and sub-woofer looks great too. I wonder if there is Focal distributor on Australia. Will do some online search.

Ask for Neil I paid $310 for the pair (bought 2 pairs - front and back) I left the OEM twitters as are and fitted the ones in the link (dual axial). They sound superb!!! No amp needed |

Thanks Mourati,
I am in Perth, so will try to find them locally. If not I will contact Neil in Melbourne. The price quoted is competitive. Greg |
