lol post+1

Well to give a decent answer, I've got an inkling that both Subarus will jump the Fords off the line due to their weight and AWD (assuming there's no granny shifting or blowing the welds on the intake :ymca: ) however over a distance the Fords will haul in the Subarus due to their torque. :king:

Just how long that distance is, I am not sure...

I would imagine the Fords would catch the little Subbies in about 200 meters, ish.

Did anyone watch the race the day before bathhurst, last 2years ago i think, with the sti up against the holden 6ltr.The Sti had it all over the 6ltr at the start and upthe top but was just eaten up on conrod straight.

That's because it had all that weight behind it pushing it down the mountain and the torque to get it up the mountain.

As it stands, if we use magazine times...

XR6 Turbo vs Impreza WRX = win XR6 Turbo (13.87 @ 164km/h for a stock MkII XR6 Turbo auto in Street Machine)

F6 Typhoon vs Impreza WRX STi = win WRX STi (13.82 sec - MOTOR 'Hot Source' [rear of magazine]).

The rexies would win in the first few gears before being overhauled by the tourqier fords - thats if wrx drivers could actually drive - i've never seen one that could...

Not sure if this is a serious comment...but:
So an XR6T is only 0.05 sec slower than an STi?
What was the Typhoons time then? Slower than the XR6T?

Maybe you're just picking on 'magazine times' here...

Well, according to magazine times.. the F6 Typhoon is slower then the XR6 Turbo. It makes it the slowest Ford performance car after the XR6 N/A. The best I've ever seen is 14.02, and Motor didn't record that themselves, it was done by an FPV guy. Fastest Motor have done in it is 14.18. Take it as you will. According to magazines, the fastest Falcons are... FPV GT (13.85), XR6 Turbo (13.87) and XR8 (13.99).

Have a look in the volume 5 edition 6 Ford Performance mag the F6 Tornado does a 14.47@100.8 with a 2.458 60' if you nock that 60' down to say 2.1 its easly doing 13.6's. Mate they look quick to me, everyone knows the XR6T is quick with the extra mods the F6's have you know there going to be quick awsome car but it just doesn't sound as good as a Boss lol.

That's odd that the F6 has slower times... Maybe the first mod for them should be grippier tyres! :hihi:
