just curious, what made you love e-series cars,
ill go first- When i was 7 years old, i watched my first v8 supercar race-Bathurst 94, EB Falcon won the great race My old neighbour used to give me joy rides in his EA MPFI fairmont which was bloody quick The last falcon to win Bathurst was an EL which is what i drive today, only its a i6. |

um always like them because they are Ford...lol
Very basic but stylish shape that looks good lowered with some rims, and in my price range as well.

I couldnt stand the ugly things. But when i met Leah she owned the EF Ghia and i grew to love it. I always loved pre80's cars, and hated power windows, air con, etc etc. Now i doubt i could live without it

I remember then EA and VN coming out together, and thats when i fell in love with the EA shape.
Then in 1992 when i saw a Spy pic in motor mag of an ED XR, man that thing looked horn.

Loved the EL Fairmonts, and not a whole lot else in the E-Series, my dad had a heritage green 98 fairmont was mint as, and i loved it until he traded it for his AU, which I acquired a while ago and then sold it heh.
I got an EL as my second car,had that for a year and treated it like poo. Am about to get another EL ghia (5.0 this time), just love the cheapness, and the potential to make them look HOT. |

My first car was an '67 XR Falcon wagon. Then I switched to Holdens for years.
Then Holden started making Commodores. Back to Falcons (xe, xf) again. I don't know that I love my EA, but it's better than the alternative. I wish I still had the XE. |

My parents handed down my EA to me. Was never really "in love" with them until the day I saw Turbo tonies car for the first time about 4-5years ago. Seeing Bass crazies car then sealed the deal

I was all set to buy an R31 Skyline when I got my ED ~7 years ago. But it was pretty cheap ($11k), had low km's and was a factory 5 speed. Then I was impressed that it could chirp 3rd (14in stockies!)- so I was sold on it.

I fell in love with the E-Series cars when I got my first EF XR6 but then had to get rid of it and didn't buy another one for a few years....
There is just something really sexy and HOT about these cars (EF/EL in particular for me)....... love my car!!!!!!!!! : |

I strolled into a car yard, looking for a VT exec or an AU forte... something "practical" lol. Spotted a grey ef sitting over in the corner, had just been detailed and was waiting to go out onto the lot... lowered, mags.... 5.0L badge.
Had a look see... poke around under the bonnet... got the dealer to fetch the keys... started the engine up and that was that. Heard that windsor burbling away at idle and i was sold. Hook, line and sinker.

I was kinda forced into it I guess....I really only started getting into cars when I was about 18 when I had to buy my first car. I was gonna get a VB Commodore with a reco'd 253 V8 in it. A guy up my street was selling it, it sounded tough but when Dad and I looked at it, there was rust all in the sills. Anyway, mum and dad were gonna get rid of their EA and said I could have that for 4g (they were worth about 6g at the time). So I bought the 88 EA GL and my bank balance was never the same since ;) Spend so much money on that car....ah the memories ;) At least it went to a good home, another dude in the club owns it now ;)

Needed a cheep replacement for BA XR6 Turbo with grunt. The only option for me was ED XR8 Sprint. AUIII XR8 (220KW too dear at the time) Similar power to weight ratio as BA XR6T.. Different ride.. but for the money. good bang for my buck...
