Hi Guys
I need help finding a light globe for the aircon button for my TE50. Ford do not list these bulbs anymore. All the globes I have retrieved from the wreckers are like mine, blown! Seems to be the same size as the illumination globes in the power window switches. Here is a pic of the globe. Cheers Dazza |

Is that globe physically fitted in that black housing or is it able to pop out or unscrew out to be replaced ?
If it does come out, is it possible to replace with a LED light instead, depending on the +- connectors inside that housing. |

Can't figure out scale from that pic. Is it a T5 size (same as dashboard globes) in a globe holder, or something smaller? .... While we're at it, anyone know where to get these soldered in globes? They're REALLY small, that's my fingertip at the bottom right of the image. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11341143 |

That looks like the T4 globe with holder.
I purchased a couple of LED ones for my ignition illumination ring on the BFII ... and I think they are the same for the dash mounted switches on the B-series as well. The holder has a little groove in the back for a flathead screwdriver to allow fitting/removal. I think you can get the little coloured sleeves to go over it From Narva ... and just get replacement clear ones as well.

After searching everywhere I was unable to find these bulbs.
These are are T3 bulb (3mm OD) I have just orded 50 bulbs from China. $6.00 delivered to my door. When they arrive I will transplant the bulb into the holder and hopefully all will be good. I will let you know how it goes. I have many holders after visit to wreckers to find a good one so I should be able to make a few up. These globes believe it or not are called "grain of wheat bulbs" I also orded the T5 (5mm OD) bulbs for the dash lights. Cheers Dazza |

We've been there with "Grain of Wheat" bulbs for the illuminated power window switches.
A$10 delivered for 30 of them from China off ebay. See this recent thread: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11198516 I imagine the remain bulbs I have may come in handy for other applications down the track.... |
