Rego for me is like $578 or something. It really is ridiculous how expensive it is, and for no good reason either.

dont pay it, if you get caught the fine is $500 anyways
think of it this way, you drive it for 1 year, you save $506+.. you get caught in the 2nd.. you pay $500 for the fine, you still save $6 if you dont get caught, you saved your self $1012+ over 2 years.. |

gave me another idea, drive with no license.. so you cant lose points, that way i believe you get 1 fine for unreg vehicle, and 1 for driving with no license.. not sure how much that one is, but il find out.. they cant take from you, what you dont have.. lol well, they can take you to court, than the court can make you unable to obtain a license for 6 to 12 months.. even longer if they want...
I believe it is 2 points and big fine... well, that's what someone got done , but depends on the officer i guess... |

sounds like a great idea!
pay no tac premium! hit someone and yes, 45years later you'll be paying them off. **** hey, take a nick out of a power pole, they'll sting you for 10+ grand. ohh yeh, pay nothing when you get locked up for manslaughter/property damage.. sounds pretty good to me!

well 4 years behind bars isn't that bad if you're a stupid :P, than you deserve to be behind bars ~
if you have your L's, and drive unlicensed it is just 6 months not able to drive (but keep your license) .. isn't with P's you have to hand them in , and get 'em back when you finished your suspension? anyways so its no that bad, could be worse Last edited by Laminge; 04-08-2006 at 10:51 AM. |

Fair enough in your example but what about these. e.g. 1 - Caught driving unregistered vehicle twice in 12 months = $1 000 fine, assuming you have learnt your lesson from that add RWC ($250 approx) and rego $560. Total years spending = $1 810. e.g. 2 - crash into car writing off your car and doing $6 000 damage to other car. Your left with no car and $6 000 damage + $500 for driving unregistered car as insurance wont cover you. e.g. 3 - hit a pedistrian. You pay $20 000 in medical expenses as you you are not covered by the TAC levy included in your registration price. Registration is compulsory for a reason. |
