As the title says "What tool do I need to take the 6x9" speakers out?" and where do I get a hold of it from.
I assume it may be something that I have to go directly to Ford to purchase; any idea of the cost on this item? |

They're 5x7's and theyre just held in by a few torx screws, a torx bit or even a socket will get them out

A pair of pliers will undo them, as well.

I got a set of these, to take care of them. But as mentioned a socket or pliers will get the job done too.
'E' type socket set.

Thanks for the help guys. Worked a treat. Still a pity that my 6x9's won't fit without taking the good old jigsaw to it.

Problem is they're not 6x9's from factory - 5x7's.
Recommend you don't attack you're car with a jigsaw. You can get/make MDF spacers that'll widen the whole sufficienly, and do it neatly without any risk of damage. I'm unsure as to the legalities of cutting up the doors/parcel shelf.
