Hi All,
Just to clarify - Tool are a band (ive posted stuff on them before and it has created confusion!). Huge news today - they released details of their Australia Tour!!!!! Its only taken 5 years!!! January 2007. 24th in Sydney, 31st in Melbourne. Massive rumour is that Red Hot Chilli's are unable to/pulling out of headlining the Big Day Out - and Tool are (again rumoured) to be headlining!!!! Tickets go onsale this Friday via ticketmaster. See you all there huh! Coupsta |

105 bucks no thanks. tool arnt that good.
but i will deffo be a BDO as usual. and Chilli's arnt touring Australia til April. so they were NEVER going to headline BDO. but tool seems like the logical choice, because well the time frame makes sense.

Saw TOOL in 2001 and it was the best concert ive ever been to, they are simply the best live band ever! It would be worth paying 500 bucks to see them!

http://www.sonymusic.com.au/news/det...20030829003479 Seems there are certainly some more shows and announcements to be made. They are BDO headliners for sure. I just hope though they do a decent amount of sideshows as well as BDO gigs. They will be great at an outdoor festival for sure - but man they will be mind blowing at an indoor venue with their own show. Lighting, effects, sound mix, etc will be far superior to that of an outdoor venue. XR6Tickfordboy - I'm with you mate - I'd pay a lot of money to see them again - $110 aint a drop in the ocean for the Tool live experience. |

Didn't take long, there's already 21 lots for sale on ebay. Highest bid so far is $610!! Several more in the $400s.

I missed out, so looks like its BDO for me. Does anyone know whether Melbourne's bdo will be back at the showgrounds this year?

I had made a deal with a couple of friends years ago that if I went, with them, to a concert they were desperate to go to, they would return the favour for me. When I called on that favour the last time Tool came out, these "friends" told me I was an idiot to even think they had any intention of honouring that agreement, and they'd never bee seen dead at a concert like that. We are no longer friends (though they did it again and again to me), and I'm going alone, so screw them. :thebirds:

I don't see the point dragging people along to concerts anyway. I took the missus to Metallica, she's not really a fan or anything, likes a few songs and won't object when I've got it playing, but you can't really enjoy it fully.
Besides, I'd probably get dragged along to something really bad if I took her to Tool. As for BDO....meh. I seem to end up badly sunburnt every time I go. |
