I've got one. About 20 games, two controls, memory card, arcade joystick, steering wheel and pedals. It's been sitting in the cupboard for about six months now. Every now and then I brush the dust off it for a bit of old school gaming. If you want, I can send you a list of the games and whatnot if you're interested in buying it. I'd rather see it go to use than take up space in the depths of my wardrobe.

I'd go with Gametraders. I'm in Adelaide and you can normally find one fairly easy. They have all their stock online too so its not hard to find out if they have one near you. I have 31 games, 4 controllers, 2 light guns, a keyboard, mouse, 2 VMU's, steering wheel and one rumble pack. The games are fairly cheap now, around ten for most titles, but for the popular ones, like Crazy Taxi 2 you can still pay around fifty dollars. The machines, while imo are still better than anything that came out in its day, do have a problem with resetting themselves at random moments, if you get one, there is a good chance it will do it. If it does, it isnt terminal, like a lot of people on the net think, there is an easy fix, just pm me or Fairmont 1998, im not here as often as he is. Sorry to go off on a bit of a trip, i just get a bit excited when i start talking about consoles.

The best thing about them is to play burnt games you dont need a chip, just a boot disc.

I had a dreamcast. Still do, but its just sitting in a box in the garage now. They really should have done a lot better in the market than they did, it was a great console, and of course, being a Sega, it had brilliant games. Soul Calibur, Shenmue, Metropolis Street Racer, Top Spin Tennis, Sonic Adventures, and, best of all, House of the Dead II with the genuine Sega light gun - now that was a blast!

I have one as well. Don't know why they never were a success because they were a generation ahead with their technology and games. The graphics are still impressive. I have never had a reset problem though.

I think the reason the Dreamcast was never a huge hit in Australia was mainly due to Sega not really having any Aussie based operations. Instead they left all the promotion and distribution up to Ozisoft, who did a crappy job.
The Dreamcast actually sold pretty well in the US and Japan, the trouble was that it was only out for about 18 months before the PS2 hit, and Sony's marketing and hype just killed it. The end result was Sega pulled out of the console wars and decided to focus on just making games for arcades and other consoles instead. I'd like to think that in a few years when they've made squillions from their games, they might have another crack at a console and blow the PS4 and XBox 720 (or whatever they get named) right out of the water, but I think that's probably wishful thinking.

When PS2 and Xbox came out, Nintendo Game cube was squeezed out by the Xbox. Nintendo64 fans generally moved over to Xbox. |

I dont know if any of you remember the release but i was there at midnight at eb, a bit too eager maybe. The game line up was ok, better than the n64's 3 games but no memory cards! It was something like 4 or 5 weeks before the VMU's hit the shelves! i know a few people were lucky, the rest of us couldnt save games. And the internet connection they promised, Ozisoft were in charge of that with Telstra and it took ages for them to get their proverbial together. Really badly managed. I booted it up around 10 months ago and Phantasy Star Online would still log in to the servers! The fact that it has lasted that long with the fans says something. Metropolis Street Racer, Virtua-Tennis and Daytona(which i still cant get a copy of) would be my top picks.
