FG F6 sedan reversing camera

Hi,

Can you please let me know price and availability of the reversing camera for a FG F6 sedan. Are they a plug and play install kit or will it require a trip to the dealer to get it installed.

we have the IDS rev camera kit that after you install you would need to vsit your ford dealer so they can enable camera for you using their ids. $250.00 plus fitment.

another option is using the camera kit with the RGB interface kit where it can be fitted and no need to enable or visit a ford dealer, how ever if car fitted with factory reverse sensors this option will not work. $395.00 plus fitment

Can you tell me if with your IDS reverse camera do you still have the option of pressing the end soft key under the screen to switch to the inscreen sonar display for the reverse sensors like the factory camera does?
Also is there any difference between the factory camera and yours?
Is the wiring in the vehicle or does it need to be run from the ICC to to the boot lid?

yes u still can switch b/ween sonar and camera.

our camera fits above the number plate and its an after market cam how ever operates the same as the factory one

yes you would need to run the cable from the icc all the way to the back, it comes with instructions as well

I'm looking at the IDS camera kit initially. Is there any issue with connecting up the Sat Nav kit you also sell at a later date or will it conflict with the IDS kit?

Looking to buy Reverse Camera for my XR50 Turbo which has factory reverse sensors and colour screen display.

So I will only need the IDS Reverse Camera?

Also, is the camera a better quality then Fords?

Example from eBay (not sure will work) but wondering if its compatible with the factory screen or is your camera's wiring specific to the Fords connections? Meaning it works just liked factory, switching between sonar & camera.

we can supply the camera kit now where no need to visit a ford dealer anymore to activate camera on color screen using the ford IDS, which is compatible with your car, it will come with camera the harness and a module box as well where you will get a credit back of $50.00 after module box been returned to ASL. $545.00 all included.

not too sure as each ford dealer charges differently, it is up to you to get a price and make the decision. best thing to do is calling your local ford dealer and get a price

Hi just looking at getting the IDS camera kit for my XR6. I have previously installed a colour ICC that was already enabled on another car with reverse camera, as soon as the car is in reverse the screen goes blank and has no signal displayed (asked ford and they said it was already activated for a camera setup). Just looking at a price and rough freight cost to NSW 2852.
