Delivery ETA forFocus RS

Does anyone know the expected delivery for the Focus RS into Australia.
I have ordered one but am unclear on when precisely it may arrive. I have read every article and watched every YouTube video I can find and must say that it looks and sounds outstanding. Well done Ford on a terrific vehicle.

Can't speak for other dealers but our first arrival is June apparently.

I have found out that mine has been built already.
A few other lucky ones have also confirmed that their car physically exists.

The build date will impact on delivery date.
Build date will depend on what number you sit at in your dealers allocation.

Luckily for me I am No.1 of 7 at my dealers allocation.
If you are down the end of the line you may not see a car to late this year or early next year.
(Like Craig above, I take this with a grain of salt)

As mine was built 3 weeks ago, Ford are telling me it should be arriving early May for delivery mid-May.

If you can obtain your NSC from the dealer, you can then contact Ford Australia for a VIN. The VIN can then be traced online on Ford Etis. Even better in the dealer has the VIN already.
VIN's normally only get allocated to vehicle at max a few weeks prior to build.

Think this question has now been answered yeah? Are press cars in the first batch they've landed? I'm sure our Aussie media will be chomping at the bit to find a list of faults no other outlets have come up with. Fault number 1...no lion on the front ;)

Not sure where you got the idea its going via Sri Lanka.

Vesse left Re-union Island off Madagascar on 19/5.

Next port of call is Fremantle on 28/5
Then Melbourne & Port Kembla.

Thanks for the reply.If you look at marine tracking , the route tracking forecasting shows that it heads straight for Sri Lanka after leaving Reuion island.I want to believe that I'm wrong.😀😄

Tosca is not going via Sri Lanka. It's steamng to Fremantle.

Would be nice, but even the old fpv drive day wasn't a track day.
Was more an advanced driver/fun/instruction day.
I doubt any track days will be given, Dont forget that Ford can also deny warranty
if you break something on a track/motorsport event. Which is ironic considering the
intent of the drive modes.

From the rumour mill.......

Ford AUS might be holding a "launch event" for the RS.
However, this also means that vehicles may not be released to dealers/customers until 22/6.

Waiting on confirmation.

My Ford dealer, who is also a mate of mine for over 30 years, tells me that my car will be in his dealership on the 11th of June.Lets bring on a release day using their cars!!!

I pick mine up Jun 11...March Build....tracked it from Sarrlouix Build, via RoRo ship OBERON (same ship as Press cars), thru Port Elizabeth, Suid Afrika, then via freemantle, then Port Phillip Bay , watched it berth at Wiliamstown, can hardly wait....
About 60 of his cousins were greeted by the good folks from FoA giving them all a perusal! Lots of Blue ones

Actually, the first batch of customer cars were on MV Oberon (march Build and the Pressies)...

MV Tosca was for April Build cars...

If your dealer releases yours there may be hell to pay....given every other owner has been told to date nothing will be delivered until after the Jun 22 release date as dictated to dealers by FoMoCo. Make sure they don't read any correspondence re the RS prior and maybe you'll stay lucky ;)

Got bad news for you,ford are holding all cars until a media release on the 22nd

Yep. Dealer confirmed last week that FoA dictated no cars to be released until 22/6.
I have an invite to go to the holding yard when the dealer gets mine this coming week and check it over. At least there wont be a hold up on the pdi side as they'll have had the car for at least 10 days.

Thanks for heads up rayoulden...confirmed this morning when i got into work, they won't be released prior to jun22....

I'm highly confident NONE at dealers yet, all being held still at PrixCar.

Tosca unloaded fri(april build mth), these also being coralled at PrixCar.

BTW the presser launch is 2nd week in July

Goes to prove the dealers dont always have the latest info....thanks again for the impetus to it chase up 😢

Small consolation on late delivery is at least i'll be testing one before i get mine 😊

I think that ford Aust should do the right thing and in the interest of public relations , supply all the owners of cars held till the 22 nd a RS jacket or something in kind .I don't think I will be holding my breath, but it would be a nice PR exercise 😀😄

Agreed, but sadly & honestly can't see it happening....you absolutely won't be disappointed the first time you slip it into launch mode, floor the pedal and sidestep the clutch....or casually flick it into "dorifuto" mode (off-road of course )

Nah, The best reward for me would be to be actually driving it....I've waited 13months, 21 days and about 7 hours since first road encounter, so can wait another 10 days or so .....still painful though

So the latest rumour is that Ford programmed a break in period to the engine mapping.
Full boost not available for 1600 kilometres.
Lets see how this one plays out....... I hate these rumours and the waiting !

Only thing I could think of is that dealers would then need to to run to that point before people drive them.
