Tom Walkinshaw, who also owns HSV decided not to make this a production car.

It is an aftermarket modified vehicle.

Seems media just cant have anything on top but a holden. and even though it will not be a direct competitor for FPV.
HOLDEN bias at work right there. (in article)^^^

Would be nice if there was a DJR 320 ba version of the FG 335. wide rims/more power..

This is quite pathetic, they may as well have brought up the w427, at least it was a production vehicle. If they want compare walkinpoo to a ford, give Herrod or CV a call....

Yep, the guy kisses a Holden pillow at night and whispers sweet nothings into Rick Kelly's ear.

Take anything he says with a pinch (read: truckload) of salt as his words are biased and bitter against Ford.

How to beat your neighbors new GT.

Step 1: Buy a SS2
Step 2: Go visit uncle Tom... Yes I'll take that big one there...
Step 3: ITS HOW MUCH!!?
Step 4: Driving the lumbering beast home to fine out old mate next door has ordered full exhaust and flash tune...
Step 5: Fall asleep on the back seat weeping. (of course someone who spends over 100k on a SS has no wife / girlfriend / house / other posessions)

I think it is more of Mr Marketer Tom Walkinshaw jumping on the Sc wagon.

Is that an Omega or a $117,000 car ?!! (nice stance though)

the bonnet is spew

I like the wheels

They saved a few grams there !

I like the lip spoiler (would suit a G6)

Meh - pure drivel, I'm even sure the red brigade can see through this pure out and out biased con job.

Who in their right mind would spend this kind of money, whereas a far cheaper option can be obtained that has performance, albeit with a well of untapped potential and carries a GT badge.

No warranty=not a FACTORY car=no care. If you are going to start using modified vehicles in the ford v Holden war, put your money where your mouth is and give Cat600 a run. Guaranteed you won't think Holdens on top then.

Saw this at the Sydney Motor Show....apart from the scoop on the bonnet and the lip spoiler on the boot (which imo should have been colour coded), this car looked fantastic! I loved it.

It has a full driveline warranty from Walkinshaw. You bend it, they'll fix it within the warranty period.

Not exactly jumping on the bandwagon either, their last effort was on Top Gear a couple of years back.

Holden on top? Err, no.

If I had gobs of cash, would I buy one? Maybe.

When mr Walkinshaw has to submit these vehicles for full Holden/HSV ADR testing and full reliability and durability validation approval like the HSV range has to comply with... and Holden/HSV provide a full OEM manufacturers warranty... and you can buy them outright as a finished dedicated and listed model through Holden dealers (not a SS with mods) i'll take them seriously...

Until then they're just another aftermarket modified vehicle which any tuner shop can bolt together.....

I saw the article and didn't even bother reading it.

Why stop there, Street Machine magazine has an FC with an 800hp twin turbo small block, thats really whooping the new GT

$100+, is a lot of cash for an SSV. You could buy a GS, give it too BPR or Autotech or one of the dozen reputable tuning houses, get them to boost it up and buy a nice trip to the States with the change.

This is the point I was making. WP might warrant it, I doubt Holden would.

Holden don't warrant any defects that can be attributed to the modifications..

Walkinshaw warrant the parts they fit... and will haggle over any breakages they cause under huge scrutiny and sufferance...

I already know of 1 that was rejected based on their assessment of "abuse"...
