Newbie here fellows so please bear with me.Having a problem with the radio system, bluetooth and display unit in the instrument panel. The vehicle is a Mondeo MB Zetec diesel wagon-2010 model. From new the following problem has been occuring - radio freezes, bluetooth won't work and centre dsiplay drops back to two lines only. Has been back to the dealer at least half a dozen times ( 10 weeks off the road since March this year ) They are still unable to rectify the problem - supposedly the radio and bluetooth units have been replaced but problem still occurs. Switch the car off and leave for a period of time and when the car is restarted all appears to be ok until the next time.If anyone has any ideas or has experienced this problem I would be grateful for any help offered.

Hello kayjay - since Ford has removed and replaced the BT and headunits there's probably no point in chasing bad connections/loose plugs/etc.
Try these diagnostic routines first in case the unit can tell you what the issue is. Quote:
Definitely worth trying the software update mentioned elsewhere in these forums (via the USB/iPod port) Delete all phone and device pairings and re-pair just one device at a time Let us know how you go . . . |

Thanks Mackspower. Will pass this info onto Ford dealer as they are still trying to rectify the problem. Phones have been deleted and re paired a number of times.

Well some time has passed since last post due to being off the road recovering from a shoulder operation. Well my Mondeo has been in for that software upgrade, everything worked fine for about 24 hours after getting the car back from the dealer so back it went. This time they replaced the bluetooth unit for a second time great it worked for 24 hours and the started faulting again. The phones that we use work fine in our other car and other cars that we have had access to. I'm sure that Ford Australia have no clue as to how to rectify this problem and I'm pretty sure that the dealer couldn't care less. Not a nice feeling to have about a car that cost in excess of $40k and should stand it's own in any company.
