just curious as to about what speed i would be making peak power on a dyno?? wont be running with the wade 1004 though.
coz im due to get it dyno'd next month and without a speedo adjuster, i cant take my car past 140km/h, coz it thinks it doin 180km/h and hits the limiter. this was due to a diff ratio change.

cant change ECU coz i have a chiptorque chip i wana keep. im hoping 140 km/h is fast enough to get a peek power result on the dyno for my car coz i dont wana have to stuff around with one of those jaycar converter thingys.

to get a reading, it does not matter what your road speed is (unless it exceeds the speed of the dyno), the dyno operator should be dynoing it in a gear which is 1:1 (3rd gear in a 3 or 4 speed auto), as long as the motor revs to it's power limit , which if it is hitting it's limiter it is, you should get an accurate reading

Mine's not as modded (yet!), ran it on the dyno 2 weeks ago and peak power runs between 138-170kmhr, hope that helps seems when u hit round the 140kmhr mark ull be pretty close to peak power!

yer, im gonna take my car for a drive tomoz and see what speed im doin in 3 gear at the top of the gear. i just dont want to hit the speed limiter (140 on my car rite now) during my dyno run.

You will hit the limiter.
Put the car in 4th, and see how fast you're going at the redline.

Run it in 2nd, most E-Series are dyno-ed in 2nd.

Mine made peek power just a smidge under 200kmh when auto (in 3rd)

ha with a high stall an the limiter at 140 you shouldnt even bother taking it on the dyno... _2: i reckon your peak will be higher than 140 still.

mines the same with the 3.9lsd i rang up chip torque and they said if i send back the chip they will move the speed limiter for me max is 260km/h
in order to properly fix the speedo im gettin a ratio box from whyndam auto elecs for about $250

i fixed my limiter prob easy, pulled the auto out and in with the five speed and that seemed to by- pass that hurdle.
i wander what kinda results id get, im running a 3:23 ratio. hope you can over come your whoe's let us know rusults. |

maybe john you will have to find a bit of h/way that you can get in 3rd gear and plant it till it will go no more.. if the rev limiter cuts in first then you will have problems if it revs and revs and you just have to change gears then you will be right
3rd gear in mine was about 130km in my white car at peak power |

haha I have had it for agers I got it of Gubas (Thanks M8) and I STILL have not put it in .. I realy need to as It makes it hard for me to travel anywhere and know im not speeding .. 142km on my speedo is a real 100km ....Well so my gps says..
