Default BMW X6 I6TT still can't make as much as XR6T

Way too many accronyms in that title!

Quote:
German tuner Hamann seems to have a knack for creatively naming its vehicles. There's the Volcano based on the McLaren SLR, the 911 Turbo dubbed Stallion, the Cayenne-based Cyclone, and even an F430 called the Black Miracle. The latest to be added to the Hamann lineup is the Tycoon, a widebody version of the BMW X6 that also gets a boost in power as well as some interior appointments. The body kit itself consists of a new front fascia and front and rear "wings" that provide the extra width, plus side skirts, a three-part diffuser and roof spoiler. Anodized 23-inch alloy wheels with a polished lip complete the look of the exterior.

Under the hood, Hamann boosts the twin-turbo inline-6 in the xDrive35i model to 360 horsepower, and a performance package for the Euro-only diesel engine is available as well. Inside, carbon fiber trim and aluminum accessories compliment a new three-spoke steering wheel. More details in the press release after the jump, and plenty of high-res photos in the gallery below.
Quote:
The choice of different HAMANN performance kits is as manifold as the selection of BMW engines. The tuning expert bestows the X6 xDrive35i with an engine output of 360 hp / 265 kW at 5230 rpm. Parallelly, the maximum torque rises by 140 Nm to 540 Nm in the rpm-range between 1300 and 5000. At the same time, HAMANN also suspends the speed limit of 250 km/h and allows impressive 275 km/h.

265kW from 3.0L, versus 270kw from 4.0L?

The BMW is kicking its butt.

I think the standard BMW 3.0TT engine runs about the same amount of boost as the FPV motor too, so both engines have about the same specific outputs

Wait until the twin turbo 5.5 litre V8 M series X6's come out. They will cost a bomb but they will sure be able to shift their fat, ugly bodies quickly.

Since when was "Parallelly" a word???

I think what the Op is trying to get at, is the tuned aftermarket power of the BMW with a twin turbo doesn't come close to the tuned aftermarket power of the single turbo Ford I6

The torque is a fair bit lower than a tuned Ford I6T too

Perhaps but I imagine Hamann are trying to make a good track car rather than aiming for overall horsepower.

A quick google search came up with one mob who claiming to be able to make 500hp and 500ft/lb from the BMW. And another claiming 422rwhp.
Thats equivalent to a 563rwhp (419rwkw) Falcon. Not to many of them around eh?

http://www.goodspeedperformance.com/...35-power-packs

Btw I dont really care whos kw numbers are bigger, I am just trying to put things into perspective.

Or maybe Hamann has a reputation to maintain and does not want their creations lasting only 20,000km or so before major maintenance needs to be done.......

I don't know I think it needs more air ducts then throw in another rear spoiler then it'd be alright.
