Nice f'mont! Definately a nice upgrade. You can really feel the difference from the Early E series to the later ones. Be interested to see your progress with the windmill. The rain sux hey!

Hmmm...Id love a turbo.

I was just thinking the same thing, i really miss my EL Ghia - sometimes i wonder if maybe i should have just kept it and poured some cash into it. Loved the feather light steering (even with 17's on it) and the squinty look it had to it - very classy.

They're a pretty solid feeling car, my suspension was buggered though, and i never did get around to droppin it a couple of inches. Still loved it though..

As this appears to be a non-technical discussion, thread has been moved.

Nice EL mate, a silver lining on the ED cloud perhaps. Sounds like a great project, keep us posted!

EL Fairmont Ghia is the pinacle of the e-series imo. I also have one, one owner full history, all that. You got the colour I wanted but, Damn it looks good in that colour. All the sparkling Burgandy ones I saw were puss, ours is regency red and I don't think I'll ever make the same mistake as a few others in here by selling it. I love it.

Anyway nice car man, good luck with it.

Looks nice. I see it's got the AU Momo steering wheel, in my opinion one of the best looking falcon steering wheels. Welcome to the "Ghia" club!

Nice pickup, EL Ghia's are awesome cars because they have it all leather (plus all other luxury features), 162kw tickford engine, 3.45 LSD etc etc! Great cars!

Congrats on the purchase
