Default where to get 2nd hand motor from?

Hi all, as its tax time, im looking at buying a new engine for my EF (i6).
I know Jolly's in dandenong has motors for $450, just wondering how many people have used these motors and what the quality is? (ie k's, condition etc). atm my engine blow's smoke, it's done 35X,XXX k's so i don't blame it, so i was hoping to get feedback from people about the motors and where to get them, any feedback is appreciated! i know FTG auto salvage have motors for $650+ but i would like to get a motor for no more than 500 and preferably (spelling?) around the dandenong area.
also heard about the AU motors for $500 from bundoora? was hoping to stick to ef but if the AU motors are alot better and proven to be good then i will get one of them

Corey
