Ranger has again taken out top spot.4473 units. Hilux a paltry 3939 units.Tesla @ #3 with 2671 units. Is Toyota in trouble? Are they about to fall off their #1 perch with the so called unbreakable Hilux? That is the $64000 question.

They might
if they stop selling Hilux, Rav4 and Corolla altogether!
A good result for Ranger. Given 95% of Rangers I see are XLT and up they must be making some good coin on them. Do you know how Everest did? |

So it begins gents, you know it's a fresh month when the VFACTS thread goes up on AFF then there's only a matter of time before it kicks off in arguments
Am I missing something here or is Mazda and Subaru showing huge increases in sales this month? Stock shipment? Mazda CX-5 - up 105%? Did they just fill backorders or did a heap of people suddenly show out for Mazda? Last edited by Franco Cozzo; 03-03-2023 at 02:17 PM. |

There are boats full of cars sitting at sea waiting to come in. Would have been good to see what the numbers could have got to if not for the quarantine problems. But that probably goes for a few manufacturers, not just Ford. Although apparently Ford had a whole ship full of cars waiting. Like 2400 or something on just the one ship.

BENT_8 - stop making posts that will get a reaction.
Everyone else - stop reacting to his posts. EDIT: I wasn't going to repeat myself, however... This is a Ford Forum, there is going to be bias towards Ford. If you don't like it, log onto a Toyota/Mitsubishi/Nissan etc forum and bag their product and/or their forum members for being bias and see how far you get. |

Maybe you were never a leopard in the first place, maybe you were always a tiger but just needed time to see it.

We've got Tesla in the top three this month, I'm seeing a lot of them around Melbourne, they seem very boom and bust with their monthly figures but I guess its due to the way they ship their cars and they arrive in the country. The monthly figures are an indication at best I guess, we're comparing vehicle registrations rather than actual 'sales' to customers, then add into the fact the transport issues, 'chip supply' (I'm over this excuse, I honestly am its like no one is trying here) the real comparison comes from the end of year summary. I want to keep an eye on the MG3, everyone keeps pulling out of the small car segment while MG is holding in there, they'll capture all these niche sales, prices will massively rise as they will be the only option. |

Maybe its a little about Stockholm syndrome, and someone who appears on this thread to bag Ford sales every VFacts month, followed by others who think its Ok because it happens every monthly 3rd business day.
The Ford Australian developed Ranger is doing Ok, so is the locally Australian developed Everest. Engineered by Aussies for the world and not by internet trolls. |

You should be able to compare with other brands. You cannot dictate that sort of nonsense.Everyone should be able to be able to have an open discussion regarding any brand in regards to Vfacts. I really do not think he has tried to make it about ‘him’.

You should also be able to compare month on month, not just to one month alone.

I certainly dont try to make it about me but simply pointing out that every month the same rubbish is trotted out about Ford either having a great month because the products are brilliant or on slower months an excuse about quarantine, semi conductors or model mix oversights. Whilst anytime a genuine rival has a good month its years of back orders or fleet/rental no profit sales or on poor months **** products noone wants. Its not bagging Ford, its calling out the PR machine thats allowed to spruik that crap because they bleed blue in a thread dedicated to all brand results. If its only meant to be about Ford then dont allow links to full industry inclusive articles, call it Ford sales x month and request no mention of rival brands. I get that its a Ford forum, I love my Fords and own 2 and have probably owned many more than my detractors which makes the Holden/Toyota fanboi tag I get labelled with pretty meaningless. Surely as adults people can look past the tinted glasses and appreciate the efforts of other brands once a month without the childish mud slinging and excuses. |

Space on ships is still a big issue, so if Ford only has 5,000-6,000 allocated per month, then guess what..
It’s not an excuse, just a reality of doing business as an importer, would that they could increase shipping. Japanese and Euro manufacturers are in the same position but I suspect that Toyota and perhaps Mazda have a bit more shipping capacity and are far less likely to have issues in that area although sometimes delivery timing can really distort figures. |

I can't help but think that if the local car manufacturers lasted a few more years, how would their businesses be now that it's so hard to land cars in Australia. Provided they had further diversified or changed the models they were making, if think they would probably still have a viable business case for making cars here.

The post that you refer to I was trying to make the point of let's get back to talking about February V facts. If you want to talk about other brands and/or compare those figures with other months in a reasonable manner then that if is fine by me. Quote:
Yet, when you do post something the next lot of posts are about you and several others arguing. Yes, we can look past the tinted glasses and appreciate the other brands but we can also appreciate the efforts of Ford on a Ford Forum without others shouting them down each and every month. You rarely have anything positive to say about Ford in these types of threads and it appears that some other members are getting sick of it. Yep, I am going to have the last word on this matter. If you want to discuss further send a PM amongst yourselves. If you want to send one to me, I'm happy to listen, just be prepared that we may not agree. Any further posts that are not related to V Facts (notice I didn't say February) will be deleted. |

If you were in charge of the Ranger 4x2 program you'd be happy because of a 300%+ increase in sales. Also Fiesta and Focus long discontinued but they're still trickling in sales - must be orders being fulfilled. Turkish Delight Transit Heavy is an absolute joke - 3 sales? |

Looking at another brand, Suzuki have been taking advantage of other brands abandoning the smaller end of the market.
Suzuki Baleno 62 Suzuki Ignis 238 Suzuki Jimny 462 Suzuki S-Cross 51 Suzuki Swift 410 Suzuki Vitara 159 Suzuki total 1382 Got to have a laugh at 462 people who think the Jimny is a good buy, sort of like miniature 70-Series in terms of a lack of refinement, lack of power and cheeky asking prices.
