My friend wants to sign up, but keeps getting rejected over his email address. he asked me to look into it, as he only has a hotmail that works properly.
What can he do?

My 2c , i have signed up with aliases in the past .. most of them from the same IP range i guess , but because i was banned from that Forum it didnt work !
There are ways around this which i am not going to divulge here .... has your friend been banned from here in the past ?  Be honest now ... maybe his new hotmail is similar to someone on the watch list ? When you are a mod you have certain 'viewing powers' eg: IP address , now if you are on another forum and the mod on that happens to be a mod on this one as well then cross matching by member post IP address is simple as .. I have been both an Admin and a Mod on an Automotive Forum...  Confused ? Dont be , if your friend has nothing to hide then i'm sure it is a simple technical glitche somewhere... Tell him to start a new hotmail account and try again or PM ..russellw and it will be sorted ASAP..  cheers Daz. |

just like me, he has had his hotmail address for years and doesnt want a new one. he hasnt been banned, as he hasnt signed up before...

has anyone using the same computer or internet connection been banned his IP address may be blocked
