Default Fairlane Concord Manual Conversion

HI all i have only just joined the forums, Adam is my name and i am in brisbane. As the title suggests i am currently converting my Concord over to manual, have done this conversion a few times on EB's and D's, so far i have not come accross any problems, any tips would be appreciated though. Would people be interested in photos of the process, well hope you all had a good christmas.

neonick's NL Fairlane (he's mostly on www.fordmods.com) is manual.
I can't imagine there being any problems, good luck with it though

hi, i havent done the conversion myself, but it should be fairly straight forward .
i have read that the EF/L's have a different pedal box to EA-ED... so thats something to keep in mind (make sure to get one from an ef/el)
im not sure what you'd do ecu wise - though someone will surely be able to help with that

Thanks I have the right peddle box and an ECU out of an EL XR6, as the concord has the tickford 6. The bit that has me a bit stumped is the wiring, as you know on EA ED the gear box loom is a seperate thing, on the NL it seems to be a one piece, what wires do i join, i have a rough idea but not 100% sure

Just use the loom off the auto. The wires you need to play with is the starter inhibitor, the manual has provision for this but I just bridged the wires so then the car will crank whilst in gear. Another wire to play with is the reverse lights. Piece of cake. As for all the others, just tape it up and tuck em away somewhere.
