I noticed after the Crash that the search function only brought up threads during 1995, and ones after the Crash. Its still happening tonight.
Perhaps something has been lost forever so it wont work again for those threads in between? Or perhaps its a simple fix? Now I dont want Russell to spend much time on it right away, he has already spent countless hours getting to where we are now, he's done wonders and he needs a good rest. We can do without it for the time being. But just letting people know. |

I just tried a couple of quick ones and got threads from 2005 onward although there weren't a lot in the 06-08 period. Threads older than 12 months should be in the archive anyway (the default settings for vBulletin) but I suspect that the threads in between just have wrong dates. I shall have a look during the week.
Cheers Russ

I have also found some issues with search.
I searched for "drift sandown" looking for this thread http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11249622 but there are no matches. This is not the only instance, but I cant remember the others. |

We are looking at these issues now and will advise what we find.

At midnight I will rerun the index for the search engine. This is a time and resource consuming task and the forum is likely to be very slow during the next few hours.

After running the reindex last night I have noted that the function stopped after indexing 705,000 odd posts - well short of the 2.5m it should have done which would suggest there is a record in the database that contains an error that is stopping the reindex completing.
Cheers Russ
