Here are some early details for the June longweekend run.
Saturday: 10.00 - Start from Bells Parade in Latrobe and travel down to Dismal Swamp where we will have lunch, explore, and for those daring enough can ride on the slide. Then we will travel back to Stanley, via some back roads, where we will be staying overnight at Stanley Seaview Inn (formerly known as Dovecote Motel). Sunday: 9.30 or 10.00 - For those who wish, we will be going up the Nut, via the chairlift or those really keen can walk up. Anyone who doesn’t want to go up the Nut can explore at their leisure. We will have lunch in Stanley at your free choice of venue then all meet up again at 1.30 and travel back to Devonport for presentations. Costs: Dismal Swamp: (20 or more people) $17.00 per adult $10.00 per child includes 3 rides on slide (must be over 8 years old) Lunch: Soup, damper & sandwiches, tea & coffee $13.00 per person Accommodation: Stanley Seaview Inn $90.00 per person- twin share - adults & children over 12 $50.00 per child under 12 includes three course dinner and cooked breakfast Chairlift: $9.00 per adult $7.00 per child As it is a long trip for those people traveling from Hobart, Neil & Irene have a couple of spare beds, floor space or if you would like to bring a tent there is lots of room to camp. That way you can travel up on the Friday night and stay over and also stay on the Sunday night if you wish. Please let them know if you wish to stay over. For some other information of Stanley follow this link. www.totaltravel.com.au/link.asp?fid=643756 Please add you name to the list if you are interested in coming along.
