Default Best way to Register in QLD

Hi all,

Looks Like I have found my new car, Its a BF fairmont Ghia.
The owner has let the rego run out so its unregistered but he has a RWC so my question is, am I better off getting him to pay the rego and I'll add that to the money I pay him or should I just register it myself? Is their a cost saving either way or will it work out the same. It ran out in May.

It's probably just as expensive both ways, i'd just rock up to transport and hand over the transfer of ownership papers and RWC and go from there. Who would let such a new car go out of rego, that's just silly.

it was bought to use for work as the owner travelled interstate but now work flies them so it was just sitting there.
