Is it possible to manually trigger the built in adaptive shift short of getting a shift kit? Reason I ask is I drive pretty sedate most of the time and it takes a good 10 minutes of thrashing for it to fully engage, seems a pretty far out thing to do but Id like to manually engage it to the full extent if it is possible as I dont know what will happen if you run a shift kit while the adaptive shift is kicking in. I doubt itd be as simple as a on off switch but any help appreciated if anyone has done or attempted it before.

And also, if you do the procedure for putting the car in power mode, does that trigger it? Because I done that last time at the drags and shifted manually but it didnt seem to be on at all, Ive had it kick in hard lots but its always at weird times when its not really wanted. Give it a burst in 1st sometimes and itll kick into 2nd hard when youve already had your fun

There are 3 modes with the adaptive shift:
1. economy 2. power 3. adaptive If you put it in power mode, it's the same as hitting the power button on non-adaptive shift models (ie holds revs a little longer, kicks down earlier, etc) If you put it in eceon mode, the changes are more sluggish etc If you use adaptive mode, then it adjusts to your driving style over time. The procedure for changing between modes is in your owners book.

Not sure if this is the same with a stock tune as mine is flashed but in "D" mine is in Econ and when I pull it back to "3, 2 or 1" it's in Performance. Makes overtaking fun
