Gotta admire the guard for his ability to stand face to face and cop the abuse.
He looks big enough to rearrange the facial features on the twerp.

Absolutely appalling. Don't know how the guard managed to keep himself composed like that but well done.

Hopefully there's a harsh enough punishment for the a**hole. But he didn't get what he truly deserved, should have copped a beating.

See them giggling like school girls on the news and they say they want to apologize to the guard, I bet that would be really genuine. I reckon his lawyer has worded him straight up to try and get a reduced conviction by a fake apology. I also agree with Ross1 about the parents but that is probably just a product of when cousins marry!!

The young guy's name who committed the attack is Abdel-Kader Russell-Boumzar. Does this sound like the name of someone who should be committing a racist slur?

While not condoning any of his remarks...this happens daily to many cabbies, bouncers and other honest hard workers dealing with public yobbos...it does not make FB so not news???

This is about plain respect...not race...but the race card gives it airtime...which is good but I wonder if it was a white guard would it be such big news??

Get back to the old days where an instant "attitude adjustment" is issued by the guard and throw the a..holes off the train and all over.

Would be nice if the judge thought it was as serious as we all do.

exactly what I thought, at least this news gets the airtime it deserves, in years gone by this behaviour was tolerated against minorities.

Yeah thats horrid, so many times Ive seen similar and its hopefully time the public start sticking up for ourselves.

All the dumb laws, rules etc come in because there is one drop kick that ruins it for everyone. Just like that guy in the vid..what a champ getting up. Sometimes its really hard but I have made it a little mission to politely put some people back in there boxes.

Whether its pushing in through lines, swearing etc infront of my kids I will tolerate a tiny bit but if your going to get your bogan on then nah...not happening.

Its the standard will let go that will make this crap happen.....

AND....that little punks "mate" needs to be fined with uploading a video that causes civil unrest or something like that...they took that video as some kind of laugh/trophy....why do we let that happen?

I see the same type of feral ****** on the train each day and as much as I want to smack the little bastards in the mouth there is something instiled into these things by authorities saying if you get bashed go and report it to police.

QR's Zero Harm policy states in a nutshell that zero harm must come from employee interaction to ensure commuters get home safe, so as much as the guard wanted to smack him in the mouth he can't because he would be suspended from duty. The other thing is that he also had to stop other commuters from starting violence against it.

The other ironic thing is that it is NOT just white Australians who are racist, the majority of it comes from the ethnics who decided they wanted to live here but did not want to adapt. Wonder why white Australians are racist, it is because they are sick of the garbage coming from those who come here from overseas.

I stand by one rule in life, adapt or perish. If you can't adapt to new surroundings, perish in your bigotry and stubbornness.

The sad thing is there are "A holes " in every race and no country has the monopoly on them, and like every country we have our share.

The worst part is you cant really give them the required slap about the head to change their attitude (unless nobodys watching)without getting in strife yourself.
Hopefully the feller at the center of the abuse is not overly traumatized by it all.

The guard did exceptionally well and should be congratulated more publicly, same with the random who stepped up.

If the guard hit the kid then it would have made him stoop to his level, it would have been awesome, but if we are going to play by rules then you have to abide by all...not just the ones you want.
