While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

I believe that's the intention of having it in Parkes, to make it easier for anyone in Victoria or Queensland.

Yep, plenty of Vic's come up every year, we get entries from Vic, Qld, ACT & SA who come over every year along with the NSW Mob......
One Bloke was coming from Darwin a few years ago, didn't make it in the end though.....
Keep an eye on this thread on how to enter and where, how to get involved including accommodation and all associated news concerning this event.
As it's Bathurst as well on Show n' Shine day B Series will have a colour TV working and covering the event at the Show, for the added enjoyment of members who enter their cars. There will also be a fridge with us at the display, and drinks n' goodies available to all.

B Series Nationals, Parkes, NSW - all class!

Date added to the Website.
Any changes to be made to the line up? details etc?

Kristin Miskell has taken over since Aidan's sad passing.

If anyone has any complaints I offered to support a display page for CWCC (just a single page).

OK, the B Series & CWCC Show & Shine will be on Saturday 19 October, 2013.
The date being moved so the Bathurst 1000 for 2013 can proceed the week before without losing show cars to the B Series previously advertised date for this event....

Book at the Coachman Hotel for accomodation: http://www.coachman.com.au/ This Hotel has been our base for 4 out of the last 5 B Series evnets and is a great, & great value pub, right in the middle of town, close to all local venues including the Police Watchouse, so its a short walk back to your room the next morning after Court, etc..

Get your bookings at the Coachman ASAP.
Enry forms for the B Series Show& Shine will be available soon.

This will be a great weekend & ALL Makes & Models are welcome.

FG's are welcome, we even except the 'dark siders'.
Mostly its more a bout the people than the cars. A top weekend.

Hopefully be able to get an entry form up soon.

Can be done, book into the Coachman at Parkes..... http://www.coachman.com.au/ if you can. If they are full there are plenty of great places to stay in Town. Hotels/Motels/Van Parks everywhere. There in one van park the council owned one right next door to the Show venue.
The Show is Saturday & there's a huge swap meet at the Showground on Sunday.... Acres of stuff for sale including cars complete cars. That said there is no requirement to stay the whole weekend..... some local B's have turned up in the past just for the show and they go home from there. If time is on your side you are welcome to arrive Friday and depart Monday, your choice.
We have activities on the whole weekend - so all are welcome.

We have a great time there and the old hands make a weekend of it. I don't leave til Monday meself, always a great time.
The B series Nats site has more information including accommodation info supplied by CWCC. Just hit the CWCC page and download the pdfs there including the CWCC entry form.
The site also contains our own entry form, so have a read through and take a tour through the galleries going back to our first event at Parkes.

Just remember: "What happens in Parkes, stays in Parkes."
