Default Brisbane ford dealer services?

Hey everyone, its been a lil while since i've been in contact so hopefully to many of you havent forgotten me:P Im just wondering if its worth getting my car serviced at a ford dealer? what are they like for price and quality? particularly torque ford at brendale. My XF had a run in with a dodgy panel beater so basically the things he broke that i want to get repaired are my window rubbers(they broke 2 weeks after he fitted them), my drivers seat(a bolt came undone and it was basically a glorified rocking chair although a week after he fixed it, it broke even worse and is now attatched by 2 bolts), my front bumper(again after he fixed it the clips all came off again and now the bloody thing is half hanging off), he repainted my window sills black since they faded and once again they faded although im tending to blame that one on the sun not so much him, not sure if a dealer would fix somethin like this though), a few other things i want done is my fans fixed(currently stuck on demister for all settings), my left door is starting to sag abit and is a pain to open so i want that fixed, my aircon regassed and the wiring fixed so my interior light comes on when my front left door opens. Any info on this would be appreciated even if somebody is or knows a decent panel beater that could do these jobs im all ears. :d thanks in advance....Sam

I don't think it would be worth you while paying to have an XF serviced at a Ford dealer. The newest ones are close to 20 years old with parts available almost anywhere. My advice would be to buy a workshop manual, work out what tools you need and get stuck into it yourself. They really are quite a basic car. You will be paying the best part of $100 per hour just for labour at a dealer. I'm just talking about servicing, you will need a mechanic still if things need fixing.

Just remembered a story about a Ford dealer, I read in the Herald's Drive section. Bloke takes his AU XR8 into a ford dealer for a service. They TELL HIM he has noisy lifters and that it will cost $3000 to replace the valve train. He authorises the work thinking that his extended warranty will cover it. The dealer informs him that the problem was caused because he left the oil too long between changes and he will have to pay for the work. Apparently he previously had the car serviced early as he was going on a trip. You can just about buy a crate 5L Windsor for $3000, brand new. This is what dealers are capable of, remember THEY told HIM his car had noisy lifters.
