Hi all!
So I've had a 2010 Fiesta Zetec for the last few years as a run around and it's been good, but I have this sporadic bizarre stereo issue. I normally listen to stuff from my phone over BT, but if I change the input from BT to Radio or USB it will go massively distorted and way too loud even at volume level 1. Sometimes it changes the input itself with no intervention. This only happens maybe every 3 months or so, and it might do it 2 or 3 times in a row. The only way to get the stereo to work again is to turn the car off completely and restart it, then it's fine. I can't find anything about this happening through a search so I'm just curious if it's just me? As I said it doesn't happen often but when it does it scares the ***** out of me lol! |

Without knowing anything at all, can you reload the stereo software?
As you need to reboot to clear the error it sounds software related. A guy on this link had the update on USB, but it's 3 years old. http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2296112 Might be worth a go though. Other than that, off to a Ford dealer you go. Hi Pursya,
I actually did the audio update when I got the car I've also done a roll back and it didn't seem to make a difference. I'm not going to the dealer, it's not enough of an issue for the amount they would charge or the 3 months they would have to have to car for until they got it to freak out lol Thanks though (y) |

Maybe you want to reinstall the update?
As I said, sounds like a software issue, something may have changed from any number of things. If you've still got the update you've got nothing to lose by rewriting it to the unit. If you haven't already. Good luck. |
