G'day all,
Got a problem with the speedometer. '76 MK 2 When I come to a stop it drops below the 0 ( Zero ) thus throwing it out by 20kms / hour. Anyone know of a fix for this ? And NO there are no stopping pins on the dial for this model, its all hidden behind. Thanks |

Never heard of that happening, and I no longer have access to an Escort to have a look for myself to try and find the problem and solution. First thing that came to my mind was that the speedo itself may need to be rotated so it sits on 0km/h when you're not moving, however not sure how to do that or if it's even possible, sorry.

I think your needle might have been moved from it's correct position. Maybe try removing the cluster, then the speedo itself and align the needle.

What dash do you have at the moment? I can check to see if my mate has a spare.

What I might do is put an internal stopper so the clock stops at 0 ( Zero ) not under ... It may work
