I have seen before somewhere about a certain type of film that you can apply to the headlamp's to act as a sheild instead of headlamp protector's, has anybody used this before and delved into it ?.
As I hate the headlamp protector's on my AU XR8, they are annoying to clean in behind and I don't like the look of the personally. |

Thank's mate, where can you buy this stuff, any retail store as I have never seen it, and was it expensive ?.
How often do you need to replace them or do they last for ever and are they really strong enough to withstand a stone ?. They seem like a good idea compared to my ugly cover's now. |

Put some on my FG today. Comes in a roll for $50 from Supercheap.
There's enough to do the headlights and foglights with a bit leftover. Used it on my AU with the standard lights + 4"s on Brumby bar and never had a prob with cracked lenses after a lot of gravel roads etc. Good stuff. Worth the money.

My old EF XR6 had something like that on it when I had it, never had a problem with it, seemed to work well, although with the EF XR headlights being a bit more recessed than the AU's I'm not too sure how well it will hold up in direct sunlight seeing as the sun rarely actually hit mine.

I've had them on my EL now for well over 10 years. They work a treat and last for ages.
