going out with a mate next week, he is taking his 426ci Twin Turbo 2-ton big banana XB Coupe street car, has run 116mph on BP98 and 5psi, now has a 12psi E85 tune making 616rwhp and enough torque to spin the world off it's axis

What rwhp was it making when it ran the 116?

dunno, it made 500rwhp on 10psi, we worked out it shoulda ran 125mph on 10psi, so on 5psi it maybe been around 350rwhp. on the new E85 tune it made something like 430rwhp@6psi

yeah, will put the Go-Pro on the XB, he has a Go-Pro also, might put it on the tyre or something, so we can see what it's doing. it's a big heavy car, so will be good to see how the tyre performs all the way down the track.

should be out maybe before the end of the month. making a few changes this year, he wants to run a PB and hopefully get the car into the 7's maybe even with this current motor.

there is about 15-20 servo's in Sydney that sell E85. we drive around the streets on Caltex E-flex and race with the United E85.

I'm going to be there tonight with my brother running his AU Fairmont Ghia. I'm not really sure what to expect, he's got a BA intake pipe and modified XR8 pod box with FG snorkel. I'd guess a high 15.

Was lookn for the yellow beast prasac.....

It must have been numpties night out, some people have no clue bout staging even when the starter tells them lol, some dissapointing times out of alot of cars, particularly LS powered commos, also some fords werent doing the best..... Must have been the heat or track surface....

Stav's orange xr6t looked good love the number plates....

Good to see getting cool air up at Willowbank. Was also good the other Wednesday when I visited Willowbank, I liked how you get a nice close view of the burnouts and launch.

That red dual cab truck doing wheelies and 12 seconds still brings a smile when I look at the video lol.

the Capri should be painted this weekend, got the guard n door back last weekend, it's all been primed and sitting ready for paint. we will probably be back out in the next few weeks. maybe as early as next week if he paints it this weekend.

mine is ready for start-up, got to put a reverse cowl on the bonnet and still paint the front end and bonnet.

we talked about doing Snowy Mountains 1000, Joe read the article and it looked interesting, he wasn't totally convinced but i'm talking him into it, it's good exposure for the car. it would require a diff gear change. the car is hitting 8000rpm over the 1/4-mile line with the 3.5's (167mph, 270km/h), he wants to throw in 3.2's anyway for the new engine, it should be 10-12mph quicker over the 1/4. the car has been about 290km/h+ down the back of Eastern Creek, it seemed very stable. not sure what it would do at an event like that, it would have to crack well into 300km/h, maybe 320. not sure how stable it will be at 200mph

Cooma is getting the start of the track fixed up.. (No grip last year) So it might be better for grip but it's up hill and thinner air.. Might need a tune..
Temora seemed to be better, but stopping at the end, that looked a bit hairy for some cars lol..

Well no one in AUS has done 300kph at one of these events so he could be the first one..

how many practice runs do you get? track tuning is definitely the key at these events and the 1/4, we come off the dyno at Vince's then i'll have a little tweek and you pick up 2-3mph sometimes more.

i know he wouldn't change diff gears for the purpose of the 1000m, i think he would just go out with the 1/4 mile gearing, records aren't too important, with the amount of sub-category records you see these days anyone can be the quickest

long gone are the days of being the Quickest. now everyone seems to make up a catergory there car fits into and deem themselves the quickest. for instance, i have the quickest car in my street with a spider's web on the passenger mirror and an Extra wrapper on the floor

i'm not sure how much stopping room, it pulls up no issue with brakes only at 170mph on the 1/4 has big drum brakes on the back. could get hairy, i remember when we were in it going down the Creek, 2 of us at nearly 300km/h was worried if it pulled up but it did

I was gunna head out last night but my mid afternoon nap turned into a 14hr sleep. Since I ran last I've got a 100 cell cat back on and a set of leaking 2.5" Ph4495's whilst I fix up my 3" ph4495's. I heard it was pretty quiet last night though. The weather looked nice.

A turbo VL has done 0:19.6930 / 296.6 kph that was 2011
Nissan GTR R35 WR600 0:19.2510 / 289.2 kph 2012

spoke with Joe yesterday, he said he would have a go at it, see how it goes. probably put some 3.0 diff gears in and take it from there. sent an email out for Snowy Mountains 1000, they are sending out packs in April, maybe we can get in still.

surprised noone has hit 300km/h yet, will give it a crack.

There's a street meet on this Sunday.

With the public holiday it's pretty tempting to play around with the setup on the car but I don't think I'll get a PB with the exhaust as it is right now.
