Default Lowering

Hi i have a stock hight EB and i have some 18'' wheels coming soon. i wanted to lower it but i dont know how much. i am thinking 2'' at the back and mabey 1''1/4' to 1''1/2 at the front. i am looking for it to be roadworthy, legal and i want to go over speed humps without much trouble. the car is a daily. i dont want to go much if any lower than that. do you think i will be happy with it and does someone have a pic of a car that has been lower roughly that much.

thanks for any feedback

Go superlow pedders, or the lowest they offer as pedders make for comfort rather than looks. At the momement i got the lowest springs pedders offer with munroe shocks (which arnt great shocks) but the ride is really good.

I never have any scraping problems, except going about 30km over those crappy metal speed humps. Even with a full car load its fine. Although you will always complain that your car isnt low enough, lol.

not all the cars have king spring super lows at pick a part. Your mate got a good pick up though, if you can find another set id say grab them. Might pay to have a look at the one in campbelfield.

Lower it at least 3" mate won't be worth it if it's any higher. Make sure you get shortened shocks to go with it, otherwise the ride will be disgraceful.

I have an EF Fairmont with 17" on it, I got King Lows for it and the top of the wheel arch's are about an inch above the top of the tyres.

Don't have any trouble with speed humps or gutters when parking, driveways etc

Also its legal height - any lower its not legal

Not legal = unroadworthy = un-insured

In any insurance policy wording if you car is un-roadworthy then the insurer has the option to refuse, reduce or deny any insurance claim.
