Default Fun and Games with the airlines...

So after a big night last night on a whirlwind trip to Adelaide, I trundle over to the airport to head home...
I qued up to board, and had a male Virgin hosty mince over and say, "Excuse me sir, i'm going to have to ask you to turn your shirt inside out, other passengers might find your shirt offensive."
I thought he was joking... but he had a little possy of all the other Hostitutes there to back him up. What shirt was I wearing?
This:

So, because I was nursing a hangover of biblical proportions and just wanted to go home, i took my shirt off and turned it inside out, infront of a boarding lounge full of people, having been made to feel like a terrorist or something.
I tried to make a complaint after landing, but it fell on deaf ears.

I still can't believe this happened.

In this day and age, I can see why, but really, once you're seated, who would see it anyway? You're probably lucky you complied - people have been refused boarding for being too rowdy etc under the new anti-terrorist rules/guidelines for airlines.

Did you run in/out of the airport whilst the shirt was the right way out?

And were others keeping up with you?

Personally, I find the T-shirt funny and wouldn't worry me. Having a bomb technician on-board should be a relief but as a person who flys alot, mainly international flights, I can understand the airlines concern.

You really have no idea how the most minute thing can spook some people these days.

Love the T-shirt though...

once again political correctness rules. this time the airlines.

I have seen that T-shirt many a time on the street. I find it funny, coz I have a sense of humour and can see the tonque in cheek. But on the other hand I can see where the fag host at the airport came from too. He was only doing his job for the confort of all other passengers. Whether it was his call or someone elses, I dont know, but it just goes to show, how ridiculous everything has become over the last 6 years.

'Sif anyone would take that shirt seriously. What a bunch of tards. Wouldn't having a bomb technician on board be a GOOD thing anyway? That way he/she could diffuse the bomb before it is set off? :

I think it is pretty obvious that the t shirt is a joke. As sad as this may sound, I think a foreigner with a beard and turban would make passengers more nervous ...... but are they going to ask him to change his appearance? I don't think so!!!
And who would want to bomb a Virgin plane travelling from Adelaide to Brisbane anyway!! :

The steward was just doing his job, he's probably been told to deal with these sort of problems before some goose complains to the airline and sues them for ruining their holiday.
Or maybe the male steward just wanted to check you out when you took your shirt off.

Haha that shirts humorous but in the context of airline travel that’s the way things are these days. I can see where the steward is coming from. I think if you refused to turn your shirt inside out you would of been refused boarding.
