Hi all, I was just wanting to start this thread as I'm sure people have heard a few ask What have Ford ever done? in relation to prototypes/concepts at motorshows such as Efijy, 2007 Torana, 427 coupe(or whatever it is) and so on.
Any answers would be great. Or just simply have a chat about it. Cheers! :

Probably not so many "prototypes" but a lot of concept cars, few that come to mind are EL Sequential, Predator, Sandifre Ute, R5, Xplod XR8 if that counts?

300 coupe wasn't ford. Was another company.
Depends if we talk ford aus, or ford world? Ford aus i can think of the R5, we know where that went. EA GT is another i can think of. There will be plenty more though Cheers

I was sure the 300+ was through Ford...I saw it at the Perth motorshow...the same year as the Dual cab ute was shown, which i think was the R5 and they were both at the ford stand

300 was the main display at the Ford stand back in whatever year it was. But Ford didnt build it. If I recall Ford was trying to get that car as a range topper but nothing ever came of it.
Personally I dont really care for concept cars. They are a waste of money unless they are actually going into production. What was the point of Efijy? |

R7 was the Territory concept
R5 was a twin-cab AU ute with suicide rear doors, and a very BA style interior

concept cars if done properly can do a lot for the industry. if you remember the AXCESS Australia concept car, it was credited with bringing over 100 million dollars worth of business into the Australian automotive industry. |

I've always wondered if there is or ever was anyone on this Forums that has owned a Hillier or 300+ Coupe. You never hear of owners of them, they seem to be all hidden away.
Although a while ago, if my memory serves me right, one of the 300+ ones was for sale. |
