G'day all,
The facilities are now in place for the voting of the new E-Series Owners Club Queensland Representative. The purpose of the Representative is to: * Organise events & meets * Work with the Board to address any Queensland issues * Uphold the Club Rules & Recommendations and advising the Board if any members will need to be warned or banned for bad behaviour The most important qualities in this job are friendliness, helpfulness, leadership and willingness to dedicate time to the needs of members. Exclusions: After detailed discussions with both concerned Qld members and the Board, it has been decided that 2 of the 4 candidates (Rollin, 347Stroker) will not be eligible. Controversy is expected as this is the first time in Club history that such action has ever had to be taken - but under the extreme circumstances there was no other choice. The personal differences between these members have evidently started to spread, with various regular members with no direct involvement taking sides. I am determined to not let this divide Queensland. Anyone taking sides need to bear in mind that the Club rules are firmly in place and we will not stand for any undue negativity against fellow members. We are interested in helping to constructively resolve the differences, a process that will take time. I give the fullest respect to Rollin for his helpful nature and his long-time passion for his car and Club. 347's E series fleet and business credentials need no introduction. But today, the Board is making a stand that the safety of all members (including these former candidates) must be the highest priority. I would rather a bunch of abusive PMs over this decision than reports of violence at Club events. The decision is made. HOWEVER, by a proposition I have made in a separate thread, revoting may take place as soon as November. There will be a new opportunity for all members to improve relations and put these differences behind us. I sincerely hope so. A few rules: * Only Queensland E-Series Club members who signed up BEFORE the recent Board changes are eligible for voting. * Forum members who are not signed up will not be eligible, as all votes will be verified against the Club database. * Candidates themselves are not permitted to vote. The Candidates The candidates BI6TIM and fiery are detailed in THIS THREAD and we request you view their respective speeches before casting your vote. How to Vote: Please send an e-mail to e-seriesvoting@hotmail.com with your forumID as it will appear in the Membership Database (which you submitted when you signed up via the web site) and your choice of BI6TIM and fiery. This allows us to quickly verify and tally votes. Examples: Subject: Trouty BI6TIM Subject: Trouty fiery The opportunity to vote will expire on the 24th of this month, or 1 week. This thread is closed, so if there are any queries then please PM me. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to making Queensland events safer, more numerous and more enjoyable for all. Cheers, Jack Last edited by ilsautomotive; 23-04-2006 at 09:38 PM. |
