Default 21st Sept 2008 - All States B-series Meet and Show and Shine- Discussion

The official flyer... added 15/01/2008

Original post below....

Guys just thought of this last night...

2008 B-Series Meet

Tried to find a central location but its REALLY REALLY hard...

My 3 ideas are...

its only an Idea But I think it'd be wicked to have the largest collection of B-Series Falcons in one place at one time... make it a 2 day event... BBQ's sports show and shine... cruise to bathurst for a spin...

just an idea but thought I'd post it up anyways...

You could move the indicator "H" more north towards dubbo... its larger...its 120kms north of Parkes... but then you're adding more distance to the trip for guys from Adelaide and melbourne...

I'm so in

Would be nice to have a few photos of 50+ Bseries cars on the main straight at mount Pan!

Maybe it could be a camping session somewhere, keeps the costs down and adds to the fun!

Somewhere around Bathurst is my pick, maybe a town close by but not as big like Blainey

Tops idea mate.

No way in hell to camping. Hotel with a good carpark.

Dubbo / Parkes is a good area for a meet as it gives the Sydney guys a drive as well.

Cheers

Sounds like a good idea, it will have to be organised well for it to be worth the effort. But as for accomodation, fold down the back seats and sleep in the car with your legs in the boot.

Ok rough idea was a show and shine and cruise around central New South Wales... Pick a cause and lets make it worth while... Cruise against Fuel excise maybe? jokes aside, this would be a massive thing and I don't think we should restrict to B-Series falcon but make it focused on Bseries... at the show and shine, have all B series together...
I thought early spring (in parkes thats about mid August...) which gives plenty of people a chance to plan/schedule and News Article could be made on the B-Series web page as well... spread the word outside of the web as well, get as many B-Series faclons involved as possible... Dubbo is good for a central location but I don't know enough about venues etc... I could however discuss with local council (parkes) and use the airport OR we could use the hockey grounds (right on the Newell highway across the road from KFC, Maccas and BP truck stop) on the second day organise a road trip to Bathurst and have a day at the track or the second day could be left for respective State Teams to cruise back home on their desired routes... The main street of parkes has also been utilised in the past for a car show where the closed the main street for 2 hrs and had various American Model supercars... Parkes has some good scenery and is rather central, putting my BIAS aside its easy to get to from all 4 states and the same for ACT...

if this is a real goer... I can start the formal processes and get this underway... all members would be able to get here and accommodation is relatively cheap but has plenty of places that are of 3 1/2 stars or better...

let me know guys...
i'll give it until mid january to see what sort of interest we get before any further planning is done...
cheers

Sounds great.

You can stay in your Hotel Ben, I'll be out the back with a tent an esky and a shitload of grog! I have no issues sleeping in the backseat provided I am appropriately tanked.

What about the Wagga AFD? That seems to be a real crowd getter, and while its a little bit more for the QLD guys it might make for a bigger turnout?

my idea was to have a completely separate "B- Series Annual Meet"...

The idea behind it would be to have a good meet and show and shine and the central location makes it more appealing to ALL members...
Think...
if you were in adelaide how far would you be willing to travel for a meet... or if you were in melbourne, how far would you be willing to travel... if you were in Brisbane, how far would you travel...if you were in sydney and the meet how far would you be willing to travel... I'm just trying to make the best event possible for EVERYONE...

anyways... thats the idea behind it...
cheers

no mate thats no fun, the fun is feeding you the rum cans in your sleep, you wake up with the rum fairies inside your belly and have the urge to put bullhorns on the toneu bulge and 15 aerials hanging off the spoiler wait till you come sober and realise what youve done!

7 of those aerials are to relay emergency rations from the bundy rum factory. the remaing three are used as remote satellite relays for fort kennedy to communicate to NASA space station. The movement is to distort the signals so the taliban can't launch missile attacks.
The next four are used as frisbee launchers and to hang the rabbit carkisses off. BNS research has shown that using the rabits when loaded with rum will increase the signal strength to allow polar linear communication to any flying object...

Very very true and without any missile attacks the bundy factory will remain forever and ever so to never see the demise of of the RBBD

Through rum and rabbits RBBD thrive and grow to eventually take over the world. First target...... Utes with chrome and antenna defieciency. Fortunately we can use the UHF band of communication for secure strategy planning as the chromed up ute agency are completely unnaware and oblivious to the existence of UHF radio they much prefer the 3g network

RBBD take over and annialation must be stopped at all costs. The three epitomes of the art of boganism can't co herently exist in a single unit capacity.

Antenna and chrome defeciency translates in to performance abundancy. The bling is used to ampherise the signal to the RBBD chapters can attempt to units against world domination from the street utes.

The street utes with their Chevvy's and their Turbo's will always never be beaten. For it's the 3g network that propels us to success and defends us vigilantly as the RBBD have yet to master the art of a phone.

Due to the streeters sheer speed and acceleration we will never be caught and stand united.

It's our sheer intelligence and speed that protects us from the violent acts of penetration from the RBBD's. Above all, there's nothing a good banana skin and Dexron III that can't be slipped up...

the sheer abuse of the 3g network causes it to collapse as the street uters are calling their tuners to find more performance and their wives to explain why they are still spending money. The fight causes stir in thousands of construction sites across the country.

It all comes down to a great showdown in the heart of it all..... where country meets city..... where feral meets fairy.... the birth place of it all..... the construction sites of south penrith!

The street uters shuffle to find weaponary. Used turbo manifolds, damaged chrome wheels, sports bars, sideskirts with scrapage at the bottom from rediculous ride heights, airbag struts

But that is no match for the rocket propelled rabbits and pig shooting guns of RBBD and the street uters fall with the RBBD giving no mercy!
