Sorry guys not too sure if thread is meant to be here, but couldnt find anything else more relevant.... :P

I'm really interested in getting into motorkhana in vic and just want to know a bit of info, where to go, what it involves etc.

If anyone knows where I could get this stuff or just post it here I would be very thankful :

Try www.duttonrally.com they hold an event now called the australian tarmac challenge basically the format is about 30 different driving events in 3 days at various locations throughout the state cost about $1700 for 3 days. All events are on tar and consist of things like go to whos , skidpan , drags , lap of phillip island circuit, hillclimbs etc............great fun.
cheers

depending on your location in Vic you could try the NECC, North eastern car club in wangaratta.
http://www.northeasterncarclub.org
they have a club motorkhana competition although it is on dirt, normaly in paddocks

A lot of clubs have motorkhana events. I think that the RMIT car club has them, the Austin Healey Sprite drivers club have them. The BMW club had them. A lot of the small engined clubs have them as it allows the handling, braking and navigation to shine. Ring CAMS, they can put you on to a club that will suit you.

As well as DECA i've seen them done in the large parking spaces of Calder, Sandown and Nissan ( just after HSV bought the factory). Good luck and enjoy yourself.

Years ago a friend recommended that I ease into circuit racing by doing 'khanas. I didn't take his advice and wound up kicking myself about it since. The guys & girls who do well in them have great skills.

go to the www.gmsc.com.au

Its a great autocross at Avalon near the airport. You get up to some good speeds too.

I did this video of it :

Try these car clubs :Piarc, Toyota owners club, Peugeot car club, Renault car club, Monash Car club, Ford four car club, Holden sporting car club. They all have competitors in the Victorian Motorkhana championship and run they're own events as well.

I think one of the MG car clubs used to run around Laverton & Pt Cook airfields... also, if you want the gravel kind, there is also the autocross field near Avalon airfield (not Avalon Speedway).
