Too true....

There is a slight resemblance to the ELGT rear bumber...........but that's about it.

These kits always go hand in hand with Big Wheels..........when standard wheels are used, the whole point and look of the kit is lost.

A very p#%$ poor effort if that's the case. The front bumper look's shitehouse. Not my style in any form.

My EA has enough plastic, why would i wan't to add more ?

Skirts and rear bar look like EL GT, front bar is nothing like.
(also missing the hood scoops, and grille)

That'd be the worst thing someone could do. All's we'd seen then is EF/EL's mocked up as GT's, just like half the BA's are. I think its great that you can't make a proper mock up EL GT, when you see one you know it's real.

Agreed. How many EB GT mockups are out there? Heaps. At least if you see an EL with a GT kit, it most likely is genuine.

Whats so bad about a mock-up though? I know a GT is supposed to be top of the range car, however that's alot more to a GT then just the body kit.

Can't be blamed for the BF GT having one the sexist front bumpers ever! : Oh and the seats!

First those sides are EF XR not EL XR, EL XR has a bigger flair and th actual skirt is a bit diff.
That rear bar is the same as the ELGT bar but it has the XR flair in it wihich the ELGT never had. The front bar is a remake of the ELGT bar.
This kit is called the EFGT kit.
The ELGT moulds where never released by Ford so all we have is this shitty kit.

Hope that helps

The thing is, the front bumper looks nothing like the EL GT one.

As for the problem with the replica, there were only ever 272 (I think) EL GT's built. This makes them really exclusive, and I really want one. But I'd be ****ed off if I owned one, then saw EL GT replicas every second day. It's like all the VT executives getting around with HSV kits, etc. People pay a premium to get a HSV, they want it to stand out from the rest of the Commodore range.

Quite True. Although, those that know what a GT is in the first place, should know how to tell a real GT from a forged up one.

Like my car for example is only an XR6 but will be getting BF GT Front and Rear bars, hopefully door trims and seats, thats it. Not because I want to make into a GT, bu because thats what looks best. I can agree with the EL/F GTs being exclusive, more so then the BA/F ones.. so I an see your point.

Then again, you could get your GT and make it even better so even the replica's can't get anywhere close to looking that good. LOL

I never said the front bars look the same...
I know they look nothing alike.
Its the worst kit ever to be put on an E-series as far as im concern along with the V8 Supercar kit.

This kit can look good. not my cup of tea though. If you actually look hard enough you can get EL GT parts. My side skirts on my car are EL GT shirts modified with fibre glass to remove the part where the flair fits and carbon fibre insert added. No idea where the previous owner found the originals and then why hey modified them, but it proves the parts are out there

morning people! i actually dont mind the front bumper it looks WAY chunky. another thing is combining stock/ish wheels with a chunky kit, all tho it is not in full sport of the bling factor, i reckon it puts a unique twist on the car and i sorta like it. the kit makes me *think* the car has heeps of power and the stock wheels make me *think* the car is a tyre shredding machine and the owner doesnt wanna fork out $295 every few weeks for a new tyre of two, thus he justs sticks to cheap stockies.

didnt Ford destroy the molds of the EL GT kit? 1 thing this kit lacks is the Flairs, fog/ Driving lites in the nose 1 ether side were the numberplate sits like if this kit came with the EL GT Grille or a knock off copy of 1 it would look better for it i was considering this kit for my Monty well i do need a new front bumper

There's that. And you'd have to be nuts to respray a real one.

And there's this:

Here's the real one:
