Default Add Thanks / Remove Thanks?

Just noticed these buttons appearing on each post.

What are they for? Is it a new sort of rep-points system?

Cheers,

Jason

Yeah, it says 'Remove Thanks' on your post.

Also, there's a new arrow -> on the "Go to your last post" if searching through new posts in threads.

The ADD/REMOVE THANKS link has been available since we did the server upgrade but it was initially a text link and was changed to buttons last night.

It is NOT a replacement for the unlamented reputation system and although the system does allow for the function we have disabled any scoring or displaying of the quantity received so that it is simply a way for other members to say thanks for a post.

It's not a very good iteration of this type of system as noted already. Someone else can come along and remove the thanks and it is possible to thank yourself but it will do until we implement something better.

Cheers
Russ

Bugger, I went to give you thanks but I removed the thanks by accident and then had to re add it .

I guess it is just simpler to say thanks, Thanks!
