Default tickford ECU

Hi ppl,

Would a tickford ECU from a NC fairlane sportsman II fit a 3.9 fairlane and would it make a difference??

the tickford ecu has smartlock and would need to be bypassed somehow before it will work on your NA.

sorry for the nob question but what exacty is the smart lock? Mines a NC it just missed the 4.0 engine

Smart lock is an improved security system that came out on the EBII Falcon. I think it actually also came out on the NCII Fairlanes.

You can buy a smartlock override module that will allow you to fit an xr6 ecu into a non smartlock car, what gearbox are you using because if it has a seperate transmission control module then there is a little more involved.
