So the XR6 I bought not too long ago was missing the thing that holds the spare wheel in place. The used car dealership was meant to recitfy this before I took the car and because the wheel didn't move around for some weeks, I'd totally forgotten about it until I went over some bumps recently and realised the bastards hadn't done what they'd said they'd do. Not even worth the petrol running out to see them about it, so I'm trying to get one from a wreckers, but it seems to be the most complex piece ever fitted to an AU! There are literally so many versions! I had a guy at the Ford dealership mention this to me when I tried to get one through him during my last service (he failed to get one), and one my father picked up during the week, which he swears came out of an AU2 (but not an XR6), doesn't fit my spare wheel set up at all. Does anyone have an image of this thing from an AU2 XR6, so I know what I'm buying when I hit the wreckers? Thanks!!!

Try the guys at FTG. I can get you a photo i you like, but the car I washed and polished today for a show tommorrow, and I put the car cover over it. So I can't get any shots till tommorrow. Plus mine is a Series 3, but I don't think it is any different.
