Yeah its the usual thing bbq and drinks will be supplied... I don't know exactly everything thats wrong with it, thats why its held over 2 days. I guess Saturday 16th we will be checking everything to see what has to be fixed and if we still have time after we've got all the parts maybe start working on it. It is misfiring, grinds in first and loses power and starts popping over 2000rpm.
Sunday will be fixing it, we will also be putting a cam in (need a person who knows what they're doing with cams) its a wade regrind 1004-112. All help will be appreciated! Also i don't really have all the necessary tools so if anyone can bring some it will be a big help. Contact me if your interested. Cheers Daniel |

I might come along, I've got average understanding about mechanics and I'm interested in learning more.
Can I call you some time this week to confirm? Ohh I also have a mechanics toolset at my disposal :evil3: |

Took the car for a short drive this morning... found it was miss firing really bad and in need of a major tune. Also it wont even hold its idle for long. got all the stuff for a trans, coolant and oil flush today. If its possible for more help in putting in the cam and possibly look at fixing the misfiring and stuff it well be greatly appreciated!

hey mate, i met ya tonight. glad to finally meet ya.
i'd love to help but im working all day tomorrow, and exam on monday. with the cam, you might wanna get the car running right first, before putting the cam in? The cam will cause more bad idle, and other unusual stuff, like revs hanging, etc. probably fix it up, then have another cam install day. then i can help ya!

I just got home from this, it looks like we found the misfiring issue, one of the clips holding the dizzy cap was off!

one of the lifters had fallen into the engiine while we were putting the rocker gear back on :S... took a few days of mucking around but i eventually got it out and its fine now. The only problem im having now is it stalling by itself out of nowhere... i was in third at aroun 2000-2500rpm and it just stalled... weird
