Post 1972 mk1 capri 1600 XL paint code stamped Uz, help?

Hi guys, I’ve got a 1972 mk1 ford capri1600 XL with the paint code UZ (U = ultra white, Z = wild violet). The roof is painted in the ultra white and has the chrome trim that the vinyl roofs came out with. Was wondering if anyone has seen or know if they came out like this from factory or is it meant to be vinyl? Car presents to be completely unmolested and factory, any ideas? Have attached a picture of the car below and also the tag.
Thanks all in advance

Cheers
Adnan
