Cool fuel gauge on au 2 futura

hi my fuel gauge is doing something strange ifilled with petrol and all the way the gauge has read full or empty with fuel light on although the DTE seems to be correct any ideas????????? py: py:

Sounds like your petrol sender unit ( float ) is stuck or broken.
Did you let the fuel get really low recently?

only had the car a week had 3 km dte when we picked it up

Mine did this for the first few weeks after we bought it, and then just stopped doing it...hasn't done it now in a year and a half!!

This is a known problem with the sulpher content in fuel stuufing up the tank sender. Mine did this for a while then went back to normal. Could have been the change to exclusive PULP use with a new Unichip tune that helped or the thing just eventually self cleans?
