ABOUT TIME ASWELL!
I did this last semester.. let's do it again. My results have just came out, how about the rest of you? Here goes: Chem 1B: Credit (I was REALLY hoping for at least a DN here or a date with my practical demonstrator... I didn't get either lol) Marince Science: Distinction Forensic Methods 1 Part A: Distinction Forensic Methods 1 Part B: Distinction (This topic was assesed over the entire year, hence the 2 grades) Introductory Mathematics 1B: High Distinction (Kind of ironic, I failed Math 1A in first semester, granted this topic is intro and A LOT easier, that's a huge turnaround) Still waiting for Biology 1B mark, if i'm on the money with what i've worked out from current grades and how I feel about the exam a DN is on the cards, most likely another CR. Also, one of my friends got a HD for English for Medical Students, she broke a 10 yr record for highest exam mark, 97%, beating the previous 96.5%, not bad considering English is her 2nd language. How'd the rest of you uni students go!? Last edited by FordFan86; 13-12-2006 at 07:36 PM. |

I have known mine for what seems like ages now. It is good to talk to your lecturers alot. Then they don't mind telling you your grade well before it is published.
Constitutional Law - Credit Administrative Law - Distinction Trusts - Distinction Management Strategy and Decision Making - High Distinction. I hated con law. Just glad I wont have to do it again. Overall pretty happy with this semester. Good on everyone else for doing well!

Mine isn't Uni but tertiary education nonetheless

I might put my head down and go for higher grades (if they are graded) since I got no money to be partying anymore.
Next semester I'm doing SQL Advanced OOP Java 3 (Sorry meant to put Java 2 before) Networking and Hardware Quality Management Then last semester I have this thing called Virtual Consultancy where it is 5 subjects in one. 9-4, 2 days a week for 17 weeks. Pretty much a real worlds situation without being in the real world. We have to design a system from design to implementation with all neccesary diagrams, documentation reports etc. |

Me too, I got mine a few weeks ago
Studying commerce - majoring in Accounting, Finance and Financial Planning Advanced Financial Planning (CP) Equities & Investment Analysis (P) My results were very poor, but I started a full time job at an accounting firm half way through the semister! For those considering studying part-time/off campus while having a full time job, oh yeah and a girlfriend, it is very stressful and and time consuming you don't even have time to scratch your nuts! well done everyone!

Basically you get the value of the grade, usually 1-5 and divide it by how many subjects you did. eg You did 3 subjects and got an A for each. 15/3= GPA of 5 Mine all through high school and college was 4.7 ;) |

My uni's GPA works on a
HD= 7 D= 6 C= 5 P= 4 Dont know about failing... So mine was 6 this semester.... (5+6+6+7)/4 = 6 Basically it is the average grade of all your subjects, in the form of a number.

Correct, mines the same except
4 4 4 6 so my GPA for the semester is (4 + 4 + 4 + 6) / 4 = 4.5 my overall GPA for 18 subjects is 5.5 but that wont last i dont think. |

Just got my last result, Biology... only a friggen CR (yes I have high standards haha), and yes, P's get degrees.. anything else over and above is a bonus.
Given me a GPA of 4.88 from 40.5 units. So overall, 1st year went something like: 1 F 5 CR 3 DN 1HD If I can go the rest of my uni life without getting another F or P i'll be happy. |

Good stuff everyone, congrats to all of you and to James, the thread starter. James, I remember when you were still in high school!
For those law students out there, I actually remember quite liking Torts and Constitutional Law quite a bit... I think back quite fondly to Uni days now! That was the life! Haha (yeah right, single parent, 2 kids, full time job, full time study, no money). Everyone seems to have done so well! Oh, and overall the GPA for my degree was 5.99...Hmmm.
