hi all, im in need of accommodation in sydney next april becase im going over there for the chilli peppers concert. my question to you guys is where is a relatively cheap comfortable place for 5 people to stay close to the city? ive never been ther so its all new to me. I have heard about the serviced appartments or something which sound pretty good or should i just go to a hotel?
any help is appreciated cheers in advance guys

If you're willing to risk it - I'd wait until March and get on wotif.com.au or lastminute.com.au and book something through that. You can usually book places on a couple of days notice for heaps cheaper than you'd book them for now. I booked a place a few months back that slept 6 for about $200 - nice place too.

Stay away from a cabin village called Seaside Cabin Resort or something similar, at Brighton Le Sands. Its crap. Cockroaches, dingy small cabins and very expensive.
Go for the serviced apartments - Ive heard they are great. Not much good accomm in Sydney in the metro areas I found... stick close to the city.

Perhaps book a room in a hostel??? a family room or a 6 bed dorm to yourself would be the go for a cost effective stay???
